What is JUVEDERM®™? JUVEDERM®™ made its debut on the market in January, 2007 as the newest weapon in lip enhancement and wrinkle reduction. This is a smooth, cross-linked hyaluronic acid-based clear gel, which is injected into the skin with an ultra-fine needle.

How does JUVEDERM®™ work and what are the advantages? It immediately lifts and adds volume to the areas being treated, creating a plump and pouty look. The skin remains soft and natural to the touch. No skin test is required and there is no downtime.

Are JUVEDERM®™ results instantaneous? Results are visible immediately following treatment. You can expect to experience some swelling after the procedure, so your lips should be larger than the desired end result. Swelling will resolve within two to three days and lips will retain a full and sculpted look.

Do I need more than one JUVEDERM®™ treatment? Touch up treatments may be desired to further enhance the look, however, one treatment can deliver the desired results.

How long can I expect JUVEDERM®™ results to last? Treatment results differ for each person, however, you can expect results to last from 3 and up to 8 months.

What are some of the possible JUVEDERM®™ side effects? There are no reported allergic reactions. The most common side effects with any injection include possible bleeding, and tenderness, redness, or swelling. These side effects last, on average, 2 to 3 days. More serious complications include, but are not limited to, bruising, swelling and infection.
